Here is the official (first run) poster for our awesome event: Gallery Burlesque & Gotham Fatale Present: Comic Strip!
We are SO excited about our line-up! In addition to Evelyn & I doing our thing as Harley and Ivy we also have the sensational newly crowned Miss Burlesque Sydney, Lucille Spielfuchs, as Jack Sparrow, the fabulous diminutive diva Sheena Miss Demeanour as Jeannie (as in, I Dream Of) and neo-burlesque underground legend, the spectacular Glitta Supanova as Smurfette! Plus the gorgeous La Bec as Wonder Woman, the deceptively sweet Columbina Silk amping it up in a tribute to Resident Evil and EVEN a bit of delicious BOYLESQUE in the flirtatious form of Herbie Strangelove as Dante from Devil May Cry.
NEW ANNOUNCEMENTS:
We’re also thrilled to have joining us Cherry Lush as the Borg Queen!
MC’d by the fantastic LIONEL LUTHOR (aka Mr Gallery Burlesque) and DJ’d by the mysterious MR. J, the event will take place in a cosy, atmospheric little cabaret and burlesque theatre in the heart of Sydney City.
Club 34b is located on the second floor of the EXCHANGE HOTEL, 44 Oxford St, Sydney. Easily accessible through public transport, centrally located.
Date: 18th June, 2011 (the Saturday night of Sydney Supanova)
The event will open its door at 7.00pm and shut them at 11.00pm (nice early night for all those who have to get up early for a hard day of cosplaying on Sunday!)
Show time will kick off at 8.00pm.
We are charging $15 full and $10 concession. This is a NON-PROFIT event & the cover charge is to be split amongst the performers & the tech team (Evelyn and I are not accepting payment for this event to maximise benefit for the rest of the team who’ve come together so amazingly under such short notice to put this night together).
There is a possibility we will be doing pre-sales of seated tickets. This will guarantee you a seat in front of the stage, best view in the house! More info on that to come.
Venue is wheelchair accessible via an elevator. If you can, please let us know in advance if you are in a chair or have trouble mounting stairs as the elevator is NOT available to the general public.
COSPLAYERS: FEEL FREE TO COME IN COSTUME! <3 THE MORE, THE MERRIER!
HOPE TO SEE YOU THERE! WE ARE SOOOOOO EXCITED! XXXXXXX

Make sure you tell them Ivy sent you… X

OH MAH GAWWWWWD this is only a few days away!

Last year at SDCC, I was approached by two beautiful women. This is exciting at the best of times, but they went on to call me their favourite Harley and then, looking closer at them, I realised they were two of my favourite ever Harley & Ivy cosplayers!!!!!
After that, I learned a LOT more about them: that they’re brilliant, talented, smart, funny and OMG JUST NEVER ENDING WIN ALL AROUND.
These two dames are Kit Quinn and Tallest Silver and just recently at Wonder Con they, in association with some of their friends, unleashed what can only be described as ‘unparalleled awesome’…

GENDER-BENDING JUSTICE LEAGUE!
Kit is in the center there as a Superma’am who actually makes my heart flutter, and I HATE Superham at the best of times.
Tallest is in there as Batma’am.
And they’re surrounding by indescribably incredible folk.
This seriously has to be one of the very best cosplay troupes I’ve ever seen.
Dare I hope they’ll all be at SDCC 2011… maybe busting out this cosplay again?
A gal can dream.
